Former Chelsea head coach Roberto Di Matteo told SkySports Antonio Conte could be “the long-term manager” at Stamford Bridge.
The Italian said: “It’s great, I think it’s good [if Conte is still in charge],”
“I hope Conte can stay on as well, I hope he stays. I hope he’s going to be the long-term manager at the club. So I think it’s the way forward. But I don’t know really, this is just my opinion.”
Di Matteo, who previously played for Chelsea as a player, won both FA Cup and Blues’ first UEFA Champions League in 2011/12 campaign.
