Chelsea struggled to impose their game in their narrow win against Slavia Prague at Eden Arena as Blues faced the first-leg of Europa League’s quarter-final in Czech Republic. Maurizio Sarri made seven changes from the starting line-up which managed to beat West Ham in the previous Premier League clash, with Olivier Giroud confirmed in the attacking third.
The hosts went close to scoring in the second half but were denied by a strong save from Kepa, a few minutes before Marcos Alonso put Chelsea ahead with less than five minutes left to go. The Blues also hit a post in the first half (Willian).
Chelsea face again Slavia Prague on Thursday 18th April at Stamford Bridge. An home win would ensure the qualification to the semi-final of Europa League 2018/2019.
