Chelsea are willing to land Danny Drinkwater in West London with a last gasp signing before the transfer window closes tonight at 11 pm BST.
The Blues are goingto pay £ 35m to Leicester City to secure the services of the English midfielder , that can undergo his medical until 1 am thanks to a special permission the club can ask to FA.
This is the reason why the England international arrived to Cobham a while ago, so to complete the move.
The transfer was possible as Foxes are going to sign Adrien Silva from Sporting Lisbon: the Portuguese midfielder was given permission to leave his international duty with Portugal, as he travelled to Leicester to close the deal ( missing the World Cup 2018 qualifier against Faroe).
The Foxes still have worked to do on the transfer which will likely cost them £22m.
