Chelsea loanee Kenedy avoids retrospective action after horrible challenge
Chelsea midfielder Kenedy, on loan at Newcastle United, has avoided retrospective action for his off-the-ball challenge on Cardiff City’s Victor Camarasa last Saturday.
The Brazilian winger appeared to kick out at the Spaniard but referee Craig Pawson didn’t show any card.
However, the referee awarded Cardiff a free kick, and as such the incident will not be referred to a disciplinary panel as it was dealt with at the time.
Kenedy had been recently facing a three-match ban for violent conduct, but the Brazilian will not be handed any further punishment.
The 22-year-old endured a poor individual display at the Cardiff City Stadium, failing to complete a single pass in the first half and then missing a penalty in the final minute of stoppage time.
