Chelsea assistant coach Gianfranco Zola spoke to Sky Sports TV after the win at Anfield tonight.
A levelled game decided by an absolute stunner from Blues star Eden Hazard:
“I think it was a fantastic goal, especially for the beauty of it but also for the moment he scored it, he dribbled past all defenders, it was an unbelievable goal,” the Italian coach said
“He’s not only one of the best or even the best in the Premier League, he’s one of the best in Europe and in the world.
“Eden is going fast in maturity, in choices he’s making on the pitch and I think we haven’t seen the best yet.
“I believe there is more to come also because he’s got an unbelievable potential. He uses his talent always at the right moment and that’s something remarkable.
Asked about the importance of this victory, Zola said:
“It was a big one for us tonight but to be fair it was a close game because they were doing well as well, they could have won, in the end we did it but they could have won as well, fair enough to say that they are a brilliant team.
The Italian was also asked if this win will give Chelsea an advantaged ahead of Premier League’s clash at Anfield next Saturday:
“Saturday it’s going to be a completely different game, a very exciting one, I hope it will be as beautiful as today, I think both teams could have won it, but Saturday is going to be different.”
