Diego Costa claimed he has no intention to go back to London to respect his Chelsea contract, while the club arrange a solution for his future.
The Spanish striker is still enjoying his long break in Brazil and will be back to Europe only to break his deal with Chelsea and sign for Atletico Madrid.
The 28-year-old is determined to return his former side, as he stated in a recent interview, but he is still under contract with Chelsea, who are considering to take a legal action over him for this situation.
However, Atletico Madrid captain Gabi urges Costa to respect Chelsea:
“From what I know, Atletico Madrid want to sign him and he wants to join,” Gabi said at a press conference.
“But of course, there is Chelsea in the middle and when you are part of a club you must respect the badge and try and leave in the best way.”
Midfielder Koke added: “If Costa joins then he will help the team as he always did, we know he is a great player but right now he is a Chelsea player and I cannot tell you any more.
