Petr Cech could leave Chelsea this summer. The legend has admitted he is not prepared to spend another season playing as a second to first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Having started just four Premier League matches this season, the shot-stopper admitted the situation could not continue in a similar manner past this campaign.
“I don’t know what the club’s idea will be. It looks like it works well with me and Thibaut as a duo” Cech told the Idnes newspaper.”
“But that can work for one season only. I don’t want another one like this.”
Since losing his first-team place at Chelsea, Cech has been linked with a transfer to Blues’ London rivals Arsenal as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid, but also to PSG.
The 32-year-old confirmed he would think about his future once the current season was over.
“There always will be speculation, I leave it for the summer. It will be important to sit down with the club, with the manager, to consider all the pros and cons. We will see what will work out the best.”
Asked about rumoured interest from Carlo Ancelotti’s side, Cech replied: “When a specific offer comes I will consider it. There are offers one cannot turn down.”
