Chelsea assistant coach Steve Holland is set to join England National Team as assistant manager on a full-time basis, as Football Association confirmed today.
Antonio Conte’s assistant coach will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and, when asked about the role he’s going to cover, told the club’s official website: “It is the ultimate honour to be asked to work with your national team into a World Cup campaign”.
“My immediate focus is on continuing to support Antonio and the Chelsea team, and doing everything possible to finish the season with success”.
Then he added: “The summer will be the time to look forward to an exciting future with Gareth and England and to reflect on the best eight years of my life at Chelsea. For now the next game is Bournemouth”.
Current Chelsea captain John Terry is rumored to be Antonio Conte’s main target in order to become the new assistant coach next season, according to Sky Sport in Italy
