After losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, Chelsea are targeting other strikers to revamp their attack and to replace Diego Costa, who is set to leave after his bust-up with manager Antonio Conte in the past season.
Not only Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata is on the Italian coach list: the new name is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international is set to leave Borussia Dortmund after four years and was targeted by Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan as well.
Aubameyang grew-up in the Rossoneri academy as a player and the Italian side are keen to sign him back, but they have already spent € 160m in their transfer window so far and it’s difficult they could match both request: Borussia, that want to sell Aubameyang for at least € 75m ( £ 65m) and the player’s one, who is demanding € 10m ( £ 8.5m) per year.
The 28-year-old would prefer a Premier League move to a Ligue 1 one, that’s why Chelsea have got more chances to sign him than PSG.
But the negotiation is just at the beginning, so it’s possible it won’t be really quick.
