Chelsea keen to keep Steve Holland as assistant coach

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is confident that Steve Holland will stay at Stamford Bridge despite rumors linking him with a full-time role under new England head coach Gareth Southgate.

The Daily Mail joined the club in 2009 working under Andre Villas-Boas, Roberto Di Matteo, Rafa Benitez, Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink before new manager Antonio Conte joined the Blues.

The 46-year-old assistant first-team coach joined England manager Gareth Southgate’s backroom staff in October but is still contracted at Chelsea.
