Chelsea are likely to win the Premier League this season

The international break is over and we’re back in Premier League action as Chelsea host Stoke at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will look to maintain their unbeaten home record this term and extend their stay at the top of the league.

Stoke will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat as Mark Hughes’ men lost to West Brom and Crystal Palace in their last two outings.

Diego Costa is a doubt for Chelsea as he is struggling with a hamstring problem, the Premier League’s joint leading scorer will most likely feature from the bench.

Jon Obi Mikel is still a doubt with a knee problem, while Petr Cech is unlikely to make the match day squad.

Jonathan Walters is suffering from a knock to the calf but is expected to feature at some stage, while Hughes’ side will be boosted by the return of Philipp Wollscheid, Erik Pieters and Stephen Ireland.

Victor Moses has been declared fit again for the Potters, but the terms of his loan deal do not allow him to feature against his parent club.

The reverse fixture saw Chelsea win the game 2-0 in December, Stoke have failed to score in six out of their last seven meetings with the Blues, a run Mourinho’s men will be hoping to continue this weekend.

Chelsea have lost just one of their 13 meetings with Stoke, and have kept five consecutive clean sheets at Stamford Bridge against the Potters.
