Antonio Conte wants to clear out Chelsea senators to have a better squad to work with, this is what emerges from a report by The Sun.

The Italian manager had lunch three times in the past three days with Blues owner Roman Abramovich at Cobham facilities, revealing him that he identified the problem of the squad, that are the senators.

Conte want to get rid of some of the key players of 2015 title, won under José Mourinho, that according to him are not good anymore for a team with the targets Chelsea got at the moment.

The ex Juventus and Italy’s coach was also a little disappointed with some Blues directors, that failed to sign some key players he wanted to add to the squad: only N’Golo Kante, whose fee was £ 25m, was a player targeted by the ex Juventus and Italy’s coach.

Michy Batshuayi, paid £ 33m, arrived to pacify sporting director Michael Emenalo, while David Luiz and Marcos Alonso ( that costed £ 55m both) were desperate dealine-day transfers in order to add useful players to the squad.

Conte want to renew the roster and asked Abramovich to offload players like Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel, Oscar, Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, all protagonist in the league won two campaigns ago, while John Terry, now almost 36, won’t probably have his contract extended in the end of this season.

Most of these players represented Chelsea spine in these last years, but for Conte now is time to change to try to build another Chelsea ready to win.
