Thibaus Courtois has set a target of December 5th to make his return from injury in news that is a big boost to Chelsea’s fortunes.

ChelseaNews24 reported yesterday that Courtois took part in his first training session since then having surgery on a knee injury in September.

The Belgium international only conducted light exercises and didn’t use his hands, but he feels confident enough to earmark the visit of Premiership new boys Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge in a fortnight as the date where he return to first team action.

Chelsea have missed Coutois in goal this season- the former Atletico Madrid ‘keeper only playing in three matches so far. As well as injury, he was suspended for three matches after being sent off against Swansea City on the opening day of the season.

His last appearance came in the 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace in August. The London Evening Standard is reporting that Jose Mourinho is hoping to have him back sooner, and could include Courtois in the squad for the trip to Spurs on the 29th November.
