David Luiz admits Liverpool controlled game against Chelsea

Chelsea defender David Luiz believes ‘Liverpool controlled the game in the first half with a lot of possession’ in the last Premier League game at Stamford Bridge, where “Geezer” made his debut again with the Blues.

“Their second goal was amazing – the Brazil international told Chelsea TV – the first one was a quick free-kick and we must pay attention to this sort of thing because they started better than us”.

“The second half we controlled the game, almost scored a second goal to draw and of course it is not a good night for us but we’ll keep fighting for the next games.”

Speaking about Liverpool’s first goal, David Luiz added: “Normally you have a line to defend the free-kick but they played short and they played quickly, and we didn’t organise the line quickly so that is why they had two or three free players at the back and they scored a goal”.

“This is the Premier League. When you make a mistake and don’t pay attention, particularly from the free-kick, you pay.”
