It seems that this is the end of John Stones transfer saga. Everton have just released a special statement where the club, have ruled out the transfer of their ace.
John Stones has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea since the beginning of the summer transfer window. Even if the Toffees have rejected all Chelsea’s bids for the player, the Blues were still hoping to sign young defender as Stone was considered the natural successor to John Terry at Stamford Bridge.
But today, the club from the Goodison Park has decided to cut all speculation regarding their player.
Everton’s chairman Bill Kenwright has issued a special statement, that can be found on the club’s official website:
Everton Football Club has rejected a transfer request from John Stones.
Since the start of the transfer window, we have resolutely turned down offers from another Premier League football club for our player.
John is not for sale and he will remain a highly valued member of our first team squad.
