After losing to PSG in the Champions League last night, manager Guus Hiddink believes that Chelsea are now in a period of transition.
Chelsea find themselves 10th in the Premier League, 10 points behind 4th placed Manchester City. Just 10 months are lifting the title. Qualification for the Champions League next season through the domestic league is looking unlikely for the Blues after a poor start to the season under Jose Mourinho.
Guus Hiddink did manage to steady the ship and bring in some good results, he told the clubs official website that Chelsea have to look at the short term and try to solve the problems they have.
“Chelsea is now in a transition period.
“They have to see how to go on and try to regain the lost terrain where Chelsea used to be. Chelsea must consider its short [term] future, and how to handle this.”
