Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has been included on the 23-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or.
The Belgian, who won the PFA and Writer’s Player of the Season awards last season, is one of five Premier League players featured on the list.
However, the announcement comes at a time when Hazard hasn’t scored for Chelsea in 15 games – his longest goal drought for the club.
Manchester City trio Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne and Yaya Toure, as well as Alexis Sanchez, have also made it onto the list.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have won seven Ballon d’Ors between them, are leading the nominees.
