Guus Hiddink has confirmed that he certainly will not be manager of Chelsea during Saturday’s match against Sunderland. Instead of him there will be current Chelsea coaches Steve Holland and Eddie Newton.
The Dutch manager is the bookies favorite to take charge at Stamford Bridge. According to the reports, he is still in talks over an interim role at the club.
So far no confirmed information is not leaked to the press but it is sure that he won’t be on the touchline opposite to Sam Allardyce on Satuday.
Hiddink told De Telegraaf :
“I won’t be on the bench against Sunderland. I will leave that to the interim coaches,”
“I want to have a very good insight into how all it got into this way.”
”I want as much information as possible. Chelsea are in a bad situation and there are reasons for that.”
“Whether or not I’m visiting their next match depends on my first conversation. Then I’ll decide if I should stay in London longer.”
