Jose Mourinho has revealed today that he is ready to sale Filipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid.

Filipe Luis joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid last summer for around £15m. But, the Brazilian did not meet the expectations of The Special One. Moreover, he lost his place in the starting lineup for Cesar Azpilicueta.

Since some time there were reports that Luis personally would like to return at Vicente Calderon. This message very pleased Diego Simeone, who does not hide that he would be delighted to have the Brazilian defender available again at Rojiblancos.

Some days ago Atletico president Enrique Cerezo revealed that the two clubs were in talks over Luis return to Madrid. After today’s words of Jose Mourinho, it seems that negotiations are going in the right direction.

Mourinho told Chelsea’s TV :

“If [Atletico Madrid] want him back then they have to pay and we have to discuss the offer.”

“[If he leaves] then we have to react and we have to go in the market [and find a replacement].”

What is more, Atletico defender Juanfran told the reporters today :

“I’d love Filipe Luis to come back. He’s a great friend and player and I’m sure that the Vicente Calderon would take him back too because he sacrificed sweat for the shirt as much as anyone else,”
