According to the latest reports, Augsburg defender Abdul Baba Rahman has agreed personal terms with Chelsea.
It is believed the Ghanaian will cost the Blues around £14 million, meaning Chelsea have fended off interest in Baba from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Serie A side Roma.
The 21-year old is seen as a replacement for Filipe Luis, who returned to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer, whilst providing competition for Cesar Azpilicueta.
These reports come days after Augsburg boss Markus Weinzierl said “it’s clear that I and everyone else want the facts soon.”
Baba also missed the Bundesliga side’s friendly against Toulouse on Saturday.
