Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek wants to leave Chelsea due to a lack of first team action, according to reports in today’s papers.
Loftus-Cheek, considered one of Chelsea’s most promising academy prospects in years, has become disillusioned with the amount of game time he has received this season, according to The Times.
The 19-year-old broke into the the Chelsea first team with a commendable performance against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the Blues’ penultimate home game of the season. Chelsea had secured the Premiership title the previous week, and it was widely expected that the England U21 international would subsequently be given a chance to prove himself fully this season.
Despite Chelsea’s woeful start to the season that has yet to happen, and Loftus-Cheek is apparently seeking a loan move in the January transfer window should he not play more before then.
