Chelsea are set to face Leicester in the EFL Cup second round tonight and youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek is confident that the Blues are eager to ‘get back to winning ways’.
The 20-year-old told the club’s official website: “I think it’s a great opportunity to bounce back, Leicester are a strong team, the champions, so it will be a really good test for us”.
“It might be a slightly different side but for those who played on Friday, as well as the players who didn’t, it’s about responding and making sure we don’t lose again. We really want to win this game.”
Speaking about the opponent: Loftus-Cheek added: “They’re on a good run and they’re at home where their fans really get behind the team, so we’ll have to play good football to break Leicester down because they work hard as a team and they’re very organised, it will be tough.”
