Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has refused to rule his side out of the title race.
Following their 2-1 shock defeat against Crystal Palace yesterday evening, the reigning champions are now nine points behind league leaders Chelsea with only seven games remaining, and three teams to overtake.
Manchester City currently sit 4th in the Premier League table behind rivals Manchester United and second placed Arsenal.
However Pelligrini believes his side can overturn the situation and eventually get their hands on the Premier League title, he said:
“We have lost our last three games away and we were the best up until Christmas. I think I said two or three weeks ago all we can do is try to add the most amount of points we can in our seven games and we will see who is first, second, third and fourth.”
The league leaders Chelsea also have a game in hand of Pellegrini’s men and only need 16 points from eight matches to win the title.
