Chelsea midfielder Oscar has once again been linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus, once again raising the possibility that a Stamford Bridge move for Paul Pogba might be possible.
Oscar was routinely linked with a move to Turin as Chelsea sought the services of Pogba, one of the best midfielders in Europe. French international Pogba was, and is, linked with just about every top club in Europe. He inspired Juventus to the Serie A title and the Champions League final last season, the latter they lost 3-1 to Barcelona.
Brazil midfielder Oscar helped Chelsea regain the Premiership title last season but has had a torrid time along with his teammates. He has played just six Premiership games so far this season and not scored netting the Blues first goal of the season against Swansea City in August. He has since regained his place in the team after several poor performances by Cesc Fabregas and has been a considerable improvement with his directness and energy.
Much of the summer’s transfer window gossip was taken by the possibility of either of these players swapping one club for the other, or in fact if they would be used as some kind of swap deal with cash going in one direction or another as well.
Chelsea are currently 16th in the Premiership table. Juventus have also had a poor start to the season as they sit 7th in Serie A.
