Ex Chelsea midfielder Gus Poyet, now in charge at AEK Athens as a manager, backed José Mourinho in this very delicate moment for the Blues boss.
“I have no words, no explanation,” he told Omnisport.
“Every week I think it’s going to be the end and they will start winning games but something has happened.
“Whatever it is, a sending off, a last-minute goal, an offside decision. It’s a typical situation of a team when it is down at the bottom.
“It’s easy to blame the manager and I think that is what is happening unfortunately. These same players won the league last year so it cannot be that different.
“I think it’s easy to blame the manager. That’s the part you don’t see. Nobody knows how many meetings you have in the week. Many times as a manager, I felt a player wasn’t doing well and the player himself thought he was doing well.
“I think there is a hole with key players not performing. That means you don’t win as you have to be very special to win.”
