Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rumminegge has said that outgoing manager Pep Guardiola has chosen his next club.
Guardiola announced recently that he would be leaving the German champions at the end of the season, putting several English clubs on alert.
After the announcement on Sunday, the Spaniard has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.
However Rumminegge was unwilling to state which club the 44-year old had decided on:
“I think I know where he is going – but I want to leave the announcement to him or his new employer.”
Speaking to German publication Bild, Rumminegge said there was no ill-feeling towards Guardiola, who will be replaced by former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti in the summer:
“He came over to me two weeks ago at our Christmas party and told me that he was looking for a new challenge.
“He was almost apologetic. I’m not disappointed in him.”
