Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri believes his side’s last goal at Southampton today, scored by Alvaro Morata following 31 passes completed from his teammates on the pitch, is “sure the favorite goal” so far as he can see the “way of football” he wants to bring in this season.
Speaking at a press conference, he told journalists: “We moved the ball very quickly. I think one touch, sometimes two. We arrived at the goal so easy. It’s my football. My favorite goal? Sure, because here I can see my way of football.”
When asked if Chelsea showed “Sarri-ball” football for the whole clash at St. Mary’s Stadium this afternoon, he added: “I think sometimes, not always. I think we can do better because they had two or three opportunities. We need to be in control of the match. We can do better in the defensive, sometimes also in the offensive phase. Today we did wrong in two or three counter attacks”.
