Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has emerged as the new favourite to become new Chelsea boss after meeting the board yesterday, GianlucaDiMarzio.com reports.
The Blues owner Roman Abramovich is said to be an admirer of the Serbian coach and the fact that he also speaks Russian is seen as a bonus.
Jokanovic also spent two seasons with the west London club as a player, making a total of 46 appearances, between 2000 and 2002.
Di Marzio adds that at least one more meeting will be held with the Fulham manager as some concerns remain over his experience.
As a result of this, Maurizio Sarri and Laurent Blanc still remain the top contenders.
