Antoine Griezmann has confirmed he won’t leave Atletico Madrid committing his future to the La Liga side despite their transfer ban was upheld until January 2018 a few days ago.
Griezmann told French television show Telefoot: “The ruling of the CAS has come through. Atletico cannot recruit. With my sporting advisor, Eric Olhats, we decided to stay”.
“It’s a hard time for the club. It would be a dirty move to leave now. We talked to the leaders and we will be back for next season.”
It is understood Manchester United were pondering a move for the 26-year-old, with also Chelsea reportedly interested in the former Real Sociedad youngster who scored 26 goals in all competitions this season with Los Colchoneros.
