Besiktas chief Fikret Oman has said that the club want Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.
The president of the Turkish club has said that a bid could be entered for the Nigerian in the January transfer window.
Despite being somewhat of a stalwart at Stamford Bridge, Mikel has struggled to break into the first team over the past couple of seasons, with Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic filling the defensive midfield role.
And Oman has said that his club are keen on the player, and were in the summer as well:
“If [Besiktas manager] Senol Gunes had given the go-ahead we were going to sign Mikel, and we could enter the race again over the winter break,” Oman told Fanatik.
