With the deal for Radamel Falcao apparently finalised, Chelsea are linked to yet another striker.
Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic could be approached by Chelsea during the transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
Mitrovic, having scored 23 goals last season, has attracted attention from a number of clubs, including Swansea and Newcastle. However, the 20 year-old is reportedly seeking Champions League football in order to advance in his career.
A younger forward like Mitrovic could be beneficial to Chelsea’s future and stability, with the possibility of Diego Costa being hit with injury woes and Falcao only guaranteed to be here for a season.
Anderlecht have valued the striker at £15million; a reasonable price for a player who has scored 44 goals in his 90 appearances for the club. Regardless, Chelsea would not have to solely rely on his talents.
With talks of a dynasty being established, it is probable that Chelsea will make a move for young players like Mitrovic.
