Chelsea are reportedly eyeing up a huge £50 million bid for Valencia striker Paco Alcacer.
The 22-year old, who signed a new five-year deal with the Spanish side earlier this year, was supposedly a target for Blues boss Jose Mourinho in the summer.
The Portuguese was said to have sent scouts to watch the Spanish international striker in his side’s 3-0 La Liga win over Malaga.
However, Valencia are set to stand firm on the £50 million buy-out clause in Alcacer’s contract.
The news comes a day after Mourinho defended his decision to start Eden Hazard on the bench in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa
Alcacer has scored 29 goals in 87 appearances for Valencia, whilst also scoring four goals in a season-long loan at Getafe.
