Chelsea keen on Joe Hart as Thibaut Courtois’ replacement

Chelsea are considering to place a bid to sign Manchester City back-up goalkeeper Joe Hart if Thibaut Courtois joins Real Madrid on a £35m move this summer, according to The Sun.

Pep Guardiola, speaking after their last friendly-game against Borussia Dortmund, said: “We have four goalkeepers, we decided today to use Bravo and Joe Hart. What Joe has done in the past 12 years in undeniable and we know his quality.”

Hart, who could represent a target also due to his homegrown status, spent last season on loan with West Ham United facing severe competition from Spanish goalkeeper Adrian. And the Hammers are not expected to be interested in Hart anymore as they completed the signing of Lukasz Fabianski earlier last month.
