Reading executive Samrit Thanakanchanasut has revealed that Chelsea began efforts to cut short Michael Hector’s loan spell at the club.
Chelsea have signed 23-year-old centre-back from Reading this summer but then they immediately loaned him back at Madejski Stadium until the end of the season. But now, according to latest reports the Blues will try to cut short his loan spell at Reading.
As Chelsea’s defensive struggles since the beginning of this season there is nothing surprise in the fact that Jose Mourinho is looking to solve the situation. However, recalling Hector back at Stamford Bridge can be a very difficult task as the Royals are determined to keep hold of him till the end of the loan deal.
Reading executive Samrit Thanakanchanasut told Goal :
“Chelsea want him back early but I think we’ll retain him as we agreed until the end of the season.”
And not so long ago praised his player in Getreading:
“Michael reads the game well, he sticks his head on the ball, can make tackles and can pass out from the back as well.”
“He’s got a lot of good attributes which is why Chelsea decided to take him on board. Hopefully he goes on to have a big career with them.”
