Chelsea are lining up Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann as a replacement for captain John Terry, the Dorking and Leatherhead Advertiser claims.
Dann has been in fine form at the back for the Eagles this season, with the Blues having been linked with several defenders who could replace Terry, who at 35-years old has been linked with a move to the MLS.
However, 28-year old Dann has recently signed a new five-year contract at Selhurst Park.
The article doesn’t state how much Palace want for their man, or indeed how much Chelsea would be willing to pay, but it does say that the Blues are willing to test the resolve of their London neighbours.
Dann has made over 70 appearances for Palace since moving to the club in January 2014, scoring eight goals in that time, having previously played for Blackburn Rovers, Coventry City, Birmingham City and Walsall.
