According to Italian reports Chelsea are targeting two Inter Croatian players to revamp their midfield: both Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic can land to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Corriere dello Sport reports that the Blues want to place £ 14m bid for Perisic, but Inter paid him the same amount of money after a very long negotiation with Wolfsburg last summer so it’s unlikely they will let him go for the same price, especially after the ex Borussia Dortmund player started to make an impact after struggling to settle in the Serie A in the first months of his Italian experience.
The case of Marcelo Brozovic is different: he has been at Inter for more than one year and soon made an impact in the Italian side.
Arsenal has been tracking him for months and are ready to place a £ 25m bid to sign him, so Chelsea would have to challenge with the Gunners to get him.
Brozovic is only 23, four years younger than Perisic that is 27, and is considered one of the best young midfielder around Europe.
Recently, he didn’t deny a move in next summer transfer window, leaving all the doors open:
“I have heard about these rumours. For now, I am an Inter player and I will behave as such,” he told Croatian newspaper Jutarnji.
“Everything is possible. We’ll see. We’ll know more after the Euros.”
