Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen has moved to German side Borussia Moenchengladbach on a two year loan deal.
The 19-year old made three competitive appearances for the Blues towards the end of last season, as manager Jose Mourinho tried to introduce several youth players into the first team fold.
But now it seems he has been sent to the Bundesliga to gain experience after a medical on Friday.
Christensen has recently been representing his native Denmark at the U21 World Cup. He has also made two appearances for the first team.
Moenchengladbach sports director Max Eberl said:
“Christensen is a promising talent and can play across different positions in defence.
“We’re happy that we could take him on loan from Chelsea.”
