Wolfsburg and Brazil defender Dante has revealed he wants to play in the Premiership and would like the chance to play for Chelsea.
Dante won three Bundesliga titles and a Champions League at Bayern Munich before moving to Wolfsburg last summer. The 32-year-old made the claim in a question and answer session on FIFA’s official Twitter account.
The Brazil international said that his first ambition in football was to play for his country at the World Cup- which he duly did in 2014- and that hew also wanted to play for one of England’s biggest clubs and named Chelsea as his first choice.
“I always dreamed of playing in a World Cup for my country. I would like to play in a big club like Chelsea,” he is quoted as saying.
Dante has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past but his admission will no doubt please Jose Mourinho. Chelsea have been desperate at the back this season having failed to buy John Stones from Everton in the summer.
