Ex Chelsea talent Kevin De Bruyne is very close to join Manchester City.
The Belgian player is set to sign for the Citizens in the next hours and he will return to Premier League for a monster fee: in fact, Pellegrini’s side are ready to pay £50m to add him to their first team squad.
De Bruyne joined Chelsea in 2012 and after two loan spells to Genk and Werder Bremen joined back his parental club in summer 2013 just after José Mourinho‘s return to the Blues.
He started well but then had some problems handling the pressure and didn’t feel comfortable not being a regular starter, like Mourinho revealed about one month ago during an interview, so he was sold in January 2014 to Wolfsburg for around £18m.
He made an impact last season in the German side with 13 goals and 22 assists in 51 appearances and was one of the hot names in this transfer window for the European top clubs.
Now he will have the chance to impress in the Premier League again, making Chelsea regret to let him go too soon.
