Galatasaray’s Felipe Melo says he is hoping to secure a move to either Chelsea or Liverpool soon.
The Brazillian midfielder has long harboured ambitions of playing in the Premier League and was heavily linked to a possible move to Arsenal in 2009 when he was playing for Fiorentina, but instead moved to JUventus for £18 million.
“I have been approached by English clubs when I played at Juve. I do not close the door”, Melo said.
“If an offer arrives and it is good for me and Galatasaray, why not?”
Melo voiced his admiration for Chelsea and their manager.
“I love Chelsea because I’m a big fan of Jose Mourinho. I appreciate Liverpool because they have great fans.”
GIven his age,31, it is probably unlikely Chelsea will sign Melo, but he may well end up in the Premier League at some point.
