Juventus director Beppe Marotta confirmed that the Italian club will sign German midfielder Sami Khedira, who was also a Chelsea target during this transfer window.
Marotta claimed: “We are very close to Sami Khedira and will announce it officially when pen is put to paper.
“We moved swiftly and tenaciously because he has everything we were looking for.
“It is a winning group and we took the opportunity to further raise the quality level.”
Khedira is set to earn a reported £2.85m-a-year in Turin despite his recent injury problems, who made him having a very few game-time in his last two seasons at Real Madrid, that he joined in 2010 when Chelsea boss José Mourinho was in charge.
