Juventus sport director Giuseppe Marotta revealed the Italian club is keen to sign Chelsea midfielder Juan Cuadrado on a permanent deal.
The Colombian midfielder is on loan to Juventus after failing to impress at Stamford Bridge last season after being signed in the winter transfer window but has been one of Juventus’ more consistent performers when called upon by his coach Max Allegri this year, leading many to urge the Serie A club to make the deal a permanent one.
“Cuadrado? We took a gamble, taking a player on loan,” Marotta said to RAI TV.
“We’re considering it [making the deal permanent], there’s a gentleman’s agreement with Chelsea. The player gives Allegri a different option in his team.”
