Wolfsburg is likely to sell Kevin de Bruyne this summer

De Bruyne was unable to break into Chelsea's first team.

Manchester City are in a three-way fight with Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain for the 23-year-old Kevin de Bruyne.

His agent Patrick De Koster said the Blues – along with Bayern and PSG – have showed their interest in him.

De Bruyne moved to Wolfsburg from Chelsea in 2014 and he made a big impact in the Bundesliga.

He has been linked with City – but De Koster insists De Bruyne will have other Europe’s top clubs on him.

However De Bruyne – rated at £35m – has not decided yet about his future.

Speaking to TalkSport De Koster explained the current situation.

“I have a meeting with Klaus Allofs [Wolfsburg’s sporting director] next week to find out what they want to do. I will know if they want to offer a Kevin a new deal or allow him to move.

“Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have made informal contact with me, but there have been no official offers.

“The situation has now changed with Wolfsburg qualifying for the Champions League next season, so wherever he plays next season it will be in the Champions League.

“If Wolfsburg decide to sell Kevin, then he will have a choice of clubs who can win their domestic league and challenge for the Champions League as well. The choice is his.

“For the moment, there are no formal discussions. Of course, in the next few weeks I will going around the world to talk about the situation with Kevin but this is just informal information.

“I’ve never spoken to anyone from Manchester United but a lot of other clubs have been in touch to find out some general information.

“I think with the season Kevin has had if we didn’t have these questions then there would be something wrong. I saw Mino Raiola’s quotes about taking 20 phone calls a day regarding Paul Pogba and it’s the same situation for me and probably for the agent of Memphis Depay at the moment.”
