QPR goalkeeper Rob Green could be next Chelsea number two.

With Petr Cech on the exit door next summer- he still got one year on his contract but he doesn’t like very much the idea of being Mourinho’s second choice for the goal for another season- the Blues are trying to replace him with a good number two and many rumours link to the Hoops’ keeper.

Despite QPR being in relagation position, Green – 35- stats look very good: comparing them to the Cech’s ones in the past season we find out that in terms of saves, Green has made more than Cech, 109 to 81, although the Czech keeper had 16 clean sheets in 34 appearances last year, while Green has just five in 29 this term.

Looking to high claims Green has made 45 total this season, with 42 of those successful, a success rate of 93%. In comparison, Cech made 37 total high claims last season, and was successful with every single one of them, a quite impressive stat.

So it seems that green can suit such a role even in an important side like Chelsea, where now Thibaut Courtois is the undisputed Number One.
