Chelsea are monitoring Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente, despite president Florentino Perez has reportedly rejected the Blues’ first bid for the 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Alaves.

Chelsea are also in advanced talks to sign midfielder Danny Drinkwater from Leicester, as we reported recently.

Llorente would be a midfield addition as manager Antonio Conte wants a more signings to replace Nemanja Matic, with Champions League group stages upcoming.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane rates Llorente as a back-up for Casemiro.
