Mohamed Salah gave his first interview as a player of AS Roma.

The Egyptian winger has joined Roma on a season-long loan from Chelsea for a fee of €5 million. In his first interview as a player of AS Roma, Salah has said that he hopes for a long and successful career at Stadio Olimpico.

Salah told Roma TV :

“I think Roma are one of the biggest clubs in the world and I’m happy to be in this team,”

“I’m in Rome to continue my career with Roma. I hope to achieve big things here. Rudi Garcia told me how much he wanted to have me in his team.”

“I didn’t expect [the welcome from fans] but it was very nice for me. I was very happy and I enjoyed it.”

“We never know what will happen next season. Let’s see what will happen but I want to be at one club for a long time because in the last two years I was at Fiorentina for six months and I was at Chelsea for a year. I would like to stay at one club for a long time.”

“I think everybody here has ambition and everybody wants to win the title. That would be good for us and very good for the fans. Everybody will give their best to make the fans happy.”

“I think we have to give everything to win the title or some other trophies this season – that would be the most important thing for us. We hope we can win titles this season.”

“The Champions League is one of the reasons why I chose Roma. I want to play here and I want to play in the Champions League.”

“I think Roma have some excellent players that can help us to compete in all the competitions we’ll be playing in. Our objective is to make our fans happy by having a great season.”

“Juventus are a very strong side but I think we at Roma can compete with them this year.”
