Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed the Premier League side wants Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham as Swans’ manager Paul Clement knows him well from his time at Stamford Bridge in the past.
“Tammy does not have Premier League experience, but we are interested, – Jenkins told BBC Wales – Paul Clement knows him from Chelsea. If you look at the options which have been publicised, (they are) Brighton, Newcastle and ourselves. So it is left to Tammy and his family to decide where he wants to go next.”
Abraham will be reportedly offered a new £50,000-a-week deal by Chelsea, who could let him leave on a season-long loan to Brighton, Newcastle or Swansea.
The England U-21 striker scored 23 goals with Bristol City this season, picking up 43 appearances.
