While Chelsea‘s fans are waiting for the signing of Gonzalo Higuain and Alvaro Morata’s move to Atletico Madrid, once again Eden Hazard hasn’t ruled out the chance of a future with Real Madrid.

When asked by France Football about his move to the current champions of Europe, the Blues’ star claimed:

Why not? I’ve seen all there is to see”. Hazard explained. “I‘ve won everything here: the two cups, the league, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn’t mean I am going to leave. I have always said that, after England, I wanted to discover something else. But there are things that could make me stay too. I’m not far off the peak of my career, that’s sure. Even if things can always be better, that’s for sure too. I am at a crossroads, yes. We are going to take the right turn.”

Chelsea could let their main striker Alvaro Morata leave in the January transfer window if Gonzalo Higuaìn joins the club from AC Milan (on loan from Juventus), according to reports in Italy and England.

With former Chelsea star Diego Costa struggling to make an impact in the current season having scored just one goal in 11 games for Los Colchoneros, manager Diego Pablo Simeone is said to be keen on bringing in another forward to revamp his attacking options.

The Spaniard landed to Stamford Bridge on a club-record £70m move less than two years ago under Antonio Conte‘s management.

Also AC Milan, Barcelona as well as Sevilla have been recently linked with a move for Morata.

Alvaro Morata was officially ruled out for tonight game against Spurs “for a minor hamstring problem in training this morning” as Chelsea media reported.

But there are reason to believe this might not be the truth.

In fact the Spaniard has been recently linked to Seville and it’s possible he is travelling to Andalucia in these hours to have a medical and seal the transfer.

Morata had gone through some tough times at Stamford Bridge in the past months: it seems he fell out with manager Maurizio Sarri and with most past of Chelsea fans, that are disappointed with some of his recent bad performances.

Within hours we will know what happens in the former Real Madrid striker’s future.

Today Alvaro Morata scored two goals and helped Chelsea to defeat Nottingham Forest and to advance to the Fa Cup next round.

In his post match press conference, Carlo Cudicini, one of the member of Maurizio Sarri‘s staff spoke about the Spanish striker: “I think he played an important part of the performance. He worked hard for the team, offensively and defensively. It was very important for him to score two goals. We were pleased with his performance, but even when he didn’t score. Hopefully he will be more free in his mind”. Cudicini explained. “I think Gianfranco mentioned before the match that it is difficult when you score goals. He is working hard in training and we knew that he could turn a corner and score goals. We want to do well in this competition. He has the possibility to score 20 goals, he is a great striker and I am sure he can do that. Sometimes everyone is different. Players can be more affected by the critics they can have. It is important he is training hard, the performance on top of the goals was important”.

The former Chelsea’s goalkeeper commented also on Loftus-Cheek‘s injury:  “We are very sorry for the kid. His impact for the games that he played so far, even today I feel he was contributing very much It is a pity”. Cudicini said. “It is something we need to resolve and maybe he might have to stop for a bit to resolve. He is doing very well”.

Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata could be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge if a replacement forward is found in the January transfer window.

Sevilla‘s sporting director Joaquin Caparros confirmed the La Liga side are ‘working on many names’ after Colombian striker Luis Muriel joined AC Fiorentina on loan with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of current season.

The Spaniard, who scored 5 goals from 16 Premier League games so far, has been heavily linked also with a move to AC Milan as a part of the deal to land Gonzalo Higuain.

However, Caparros said: “We are working on many names. The important thing is that the player wants to come to Sevilla.”

Chelsea‘s manager Maurizio Sarri was disappointed after his side’s draw tonight vs Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

We played very good for 80 metres of the pitch, then in trouble for the last 20 metres. It is not easy to create a lot of goal opportunities in this kind of match. It was not easy. If you can get the first goal you can create opportunities”. the Italian explained. “We have to solve the problem of the last 15-20 metres. In the last matches we have been in full control. For us it is not easy to score the first goal. We have to solve this problem”.

Maybe a solution can come from the January tranfer window, but Sarri claimed it’s the board who will decide to sign or not another striker: “I don’t know, I am not in control of the market. I have to think about the pitch, improving my team and the offensive phase”. Sarri underlined. “We are good to build up the action, we have to improve in the last 20 metres. The club know my position, it is up to the board”.

Tonight score could have been different, but, in the most controversial moment of the game the referee disallowed Alvaro Morata‘s goal: “It was too far from the bench to see it clear”. Sarri admitted. “I saw the two goals by Giroud in the last match, I don’t know if he was offside in that match, it was difficult. I have no idea about this goal”.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed his side “have two problems” as both Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi are still a doubt ahead of Sunday’s clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Italian boss, on the other hand, says his decision to not play Alvaro Morata in Blues’ last game at Vicarage Road was “a tactical choice”.

“We have two problems, the first is more serious with Pedro” said Sarri.

“He has an injury in his hamstring and I think that he will have to rest for about 10 days. The second problem is Odoi, it’s not very serious but I don’t know if he will be able to play in the next match”.

On Morata: “Alvaro now is going very well, he is fit to play. It was only a tactical choice [to not play him against Watford]”.
