Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud was the man who put France up again in their UEFA Nations League win against the Dutch in Paris last night.

The forward is now the third all-time goalscorer of the Bleus, having surpassed also Zinedine Zidane with 32 goals.

Also Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante played the whole game in Didier Deschamps’ team.

If Andreas Christensen was an unused sub in Denmark win over Wales, Ethan Ampadu was directly involved in the game. The 17-year-old, who played in midfield, also caused a penalty due to an alleged handball. A brace from Spurs’ starlet Christian Eriksen means that Denmark are leading the table, level on points with the Welsh.

N’Golo Kante and Olivier Giroud both featured in the 4-2 win to Croatia in St.Petersburg today.

An early own-goal from Mario Mandzukic gave France the lead before Ivan Perisic leveled the score with a powerful shot. Then the Inter Milan winger handled the ball inside the penalty area and following a VAR review the referee awarded a penalty to Les Bleus: Griezmann put France in front once again.

In a dominant first half Didier Deschamps‘ men sealed a comfortable win thanks to goals from Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappé. Mario Mandzukic also exploited a huge mistake from Tottenham Hotspurs’ goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to make 4-2 just before the extra-time.

France are World Cup champions after lifting the title back in 1998, with Deschamps on the pitch as captain.

N’Zonzi replaced Kante in the second half, while Nabil Fekir came off the bench for Olivier Giroud in the 80th minute.
