Chelsea captain John Terry took to Instagram to show him celebrating his title success with One Direction member Niall Horan, as him and other Chelsea players took to social media to share pictures of their individual celebrations of Chelsea’s title success.
The picture also showed Terry with teammates Didier Drogba and Gary Cahill celebrating with the Irish singer.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho gave his players two days off after the London side clinched the title with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Eden Hazard’s goal was enough to seal the win and the Premier League trophy, as he tucked away the rebound after his penalty was saved to take Chelsea to 83 points.
Chelsea midfielder Willian also took to Instagram, showing him celebrating the team’s success with his teammates whilst providing a lengthy description of what it meant to win his first Premier League trophy.
Willian said: “I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League, which is considered the toughest and strongest championship in the world.
“For many years I watched and admired English football. My turn would come, I knew. When I heard the proposal of Chelsea, I didn’t think twice. I knew that in this great club I would fight for titles, I would always be on the top.
Now I can celebrate my first Premier League title. Indescribable feeling! Many thanks to the Chelsea fans, who have always been fantastic with me. The applause for me today (Sunday) will be always in my best memories.
“Many thanks to all the club’s board, coaching staff, all employees. Many thanks to my teammates, who have always maintained a great atmosphere in the team. Many thanks to my family, my friends and my fans for their support ever. Thank you, my God!! Come on Chelsea!!! #Champions #Premier League #Chelsea #CFC”
With Mourinho giving his players a well earned break, Willian took advantage, giving his followers a taste of sunny Dubai as the Brazilian jetted off to relax after a brilliant season in the Chelsea midfield.
Chelsea still have three games to go this season, playing Liverpool on Sunday at Stamford Bridge, then West Brom at the Hawthorns on 18th May, before facing Sunderland at home on the last day of the season (24th May).
